4. Contra Costa Shoreline Leadership Academy Overview and Program Review
Staff will provide an overview of the 2026 Contra Costa Shoreline Leadership Academy program that ran from January until June. Staff will share an evaluation of the overall Shoreline Leadership Academy Program, give updates on the conclusion of the program, and welcome discussion on the continuation of the program.

5. Updates on Community Vulnerability and CBO Directory Map
Staff will provide updates about the CBO directory in regard to updates that were done this summer with support from the Cal State University COAST internship.

6. Discussion on EJCWG Direction and Meeting Cadence
The Working Group will have an open discussion on the EJCWG purpose, direction, and future meeting cadence. Staff will provide an overview on the status of BCDC’s EJ Program, future projects, and EJ Advisors Workplan to help set the context.

Website Access to the Environmental Justice Commissioner Working Group Meeting Materials. Materials dealing with matters on the Environmental Justice Commissioner Working Group meeting agendas may be found on BCDC’s website. Simply access the “Commission” tab on the website and select the “Commissioner Working Group” option, and then select Environmental Justice Working Group from the list.

How to Provide Comments and Comment Time Limits. If you would like to comment during the meeting, you may do so by emailing comments in advance to publiccomment@bcdc.ca.gov until 10:00 a.m. the day before the meeting which will be distributed to Working Group members.

If you plan to participate through Zoom, please use your Zoom-enabled device and click on the “raise your hand” button, and then wait to speak until called upon. If you are using a telephone to call into the meeting, select *6 to unmute your phone, and you will then be able to speak. We ask that everyone use the mute button when not speaking. It is also important that you do not put your phone on hold. Each speaker may be limited to a maximum of three minutes or less at the discretion of the Chair during the public comment period, depending on any number of considerations such as the projected duration of agendized matters and the number of persons wishing to comment on said matters. Any speakers who exceed the time limits or interfere with the meeting may be muted by the Chair.

Questions and Notice of Future Materials. If you have any questions concerning an item on the agenda, would like to receive notice of future meetings, or obtain future materials related to an agenda item, please contact the staff member whose name, email address, and direct phone number are indicated in parentheses at the end of the agenda item.
