The San Francisco Bay Conservation and Development Commission (BCDC) is looking for a visionary Senior Engineer to lead our engineering program and to work on exciting projects that will have a lasting impact on the resilience and form of the Bay Area’s shorelines.
Working under the general direction of the Director of Regulatory, this position provides engineering and design guidance for addressing coastal processes, sea level rise, groundwater rise, shoreline and flood protection projects, safety of Bay and coastal structures, seismic safety, and geotechnical and soil conditions. The Senior Engineer collaborates with a multidisciplinary team of BCDC staff and managers, permit analysts, landscape architects, scientists and planners; and coordinates development projects with community, agency, and departmental leaders.
