Notice of intent to initiate the subregional shoreline adaptation plan titled Contra Costa County Resilient Shoreline Plan
Contra Costa County is developing the Contra Costa County Resilient Shoreline Plan to proactively prepare for and respond to the impacts of sea level rise along the county’s entire shoreline, focusing on unincorporated areas. The Plan will be consistent with the San Francisco Bay Conservation and Development Commission’s Regional Shoreline Adaptation Plan (RSAP) and in compliance with Senate Bill 272. The Plan will be grounded in both science through a strategic update of existing vulnerability assessments and community priorities through an extensive community participatory engagement and visioning effort and robust input from local agencies and key stakeholders.
