Climate Change Bay Plan Amendment
On October 6, 2011, BCDC unanimously approved an amendment to the San Francisco Bay Plan to address climate change. These findings and policies have been incorporated into the Bay Plan and are now in effect.

The Background Report, Living With A Rising Bay: Vulnerability And Adaptation In San Francisco Bay And On the Shoreline (As approved on October 6, 2011 ), helped guide the development of the Climate Change Policies, and provides background on the basis for the proposed findings and policies. Since that time BCDC has conducted extensive research and planning into climate vulnerability and adaptation through its Adapting to Rising Tides (ART) Program.
