- West Gateway Public Access Area at the former Oakland Army Base, City of Oakland, Alameda County; (First Review)
The Design Review Board will hold their first review of a proposal by California Capital Investment Group and the City of Oakland for the West Gateway Public Access Area, at Wharf 7, at the former Oakland Army Base in the City of Oakland. The project is being proposed pursuant to a requirement of BCDC Permit No. 2013.013.01, which authorized the reconstruction of Burma Road. The proposed public access includes an approximately 100-space parking lot, a viewing area, and other improvements.

- Pier 70 Waterfront Site; City and County of San Francisco (First Pre-Application Review)
The Design Review Board will review the design by Forest City and the Port of San Francisco for a shoreline open space area at the site of the proposed “Waterfront Site” at Pier 70. The 3-acre shoreline open space area would include shoreline pathways for pedestrians and bicyclists, seating areas, a large lawn, areas for cafes and food vendors, and large-scale public art installations. This is the Board’s first pre-application review of the project.

Bagley-Keene Open Meeting Act. As a state agency, the Commission is governed by the Bagley-Keene Open Meeting Act which requires the Commission to (1) publish an agenda at least ten days in advance of any meeting; (2) describe specifically in that agenda the items to be transacted or discussed; and (3) refuse to add an item subsequent to the published agenda. In addition to these general requirements the Bagley-Keene Act includes other specific provisions about how meetings are to be announced and conducted.
