  3. Brooklyn Basin, Shoreline Park, City of Oakland, Alameda County; (First Review of Shoreline Park) // Exhibits

    The Design Review Board will review the design by Zarsion-Oakland Harbor Partners (Formerly Oakland Harbor Partners, LLC) for the Shoreline Park area of the Brooklyn Basin project, a redevelopment of a former maritime/industrial district into a mixed-use waterfront neighborhood authorized by BCDC Permit No. 2006.007.01. The approximately 10-acre park site will include extensive shoreline pathways for pedestrian and bicycle access, shoreline parking, public plazas, a redeveloped and rehabilitated 20,000-square-foot portion of the Ninth Avenue Terminal Building and adjacent commercial activity, and areas for special events. The Board reviewed the Brooklyn Basin project four times prior to permit issuance.

  4. Treasure Island and Yerba Buena Island Redevelopment Project (Sixth Review) // Exhibits

    The Design Review Board will hold a sixth public hearing on a proposal to redevelop Treasure Island and Yerba Buena Island (YBI) in the City and County of San Francisco. The proposed project includes 8,000 new residential units, 450,000 square feet of retail space, up to 500 hotel rooms and a cultural center, a new ferry terminal and transit program, approximately 300 acres of new public park and open space, and an approximately 3-mile-long public shoreline trail around Treasure Island and various trails on YBI. The project would occur over four phases spanning 10 to 15 years. This sixth review will focus on the Ferry Plaza and Ferry Shelter, access on YBI and access at Clipper Cove Beach including water access from Clipper Cove Beach.

Bagley-Keene Open Meeting Act. As a state agency, the Commission is governed by the Bagley-Keene Open Meeting Act which requires the Commission to (1) publish an agenda at least ten days in advance of any meeting; (2) describe specifically in that agenda the items to be transacted or discussed; and (3) refuse to add an item subsequent to the published agenda. In addition to these general requirements the Bagley-Keene Act includes other specific provisions about how meetings are to be announced and conducted.
