The Design Review Board will hold a fourth review on the proposal to redevelop Treasure Island and Yerba Buena Island (YBI) in the City and County of San Francisco. The previous three reviews by the Board occurred on November 9, 2009, February 8, 2010, and June 6, 2011. Although this is the fourth review of the project, the review will provide a fresh overview of the project for the Board members and public. The proposed project includes 8,000 new residential units, 450,000 square feet of retail space, up to 500 hotel rooms and a cultural center, a new ferry terminal and transit program, approximately 300 acres of new public park and open space, and an approximately 3-mile-long public shoreline trail around Treasure Island and various trails on YBI. The project is proposed to be developed in four phases spanning a time period of 10 to 15 years. (Ming Yeung) [415/352-3616 email@example.com]
