    BCDC's Design Review Board (DRB) and the Port of San Francisco's Waterfront Design Advisory Committee (WDAC) will hold a public hearing on the proposed 34th America’s Cup Racing Event to be held in 2012 and 2013. The public hearing will include updates to the proposed project and public access that respond to the DRB and WDAC’s previous comments and recommendations. (Ming Yeung) [415/352-3616]

    BCDC's Design Review Board (DRB) and the Port of San Francisco's Waterfront Design Advisory Committee (WDAC) will hold a public hearing on the cruise ship terminal project, located at Piers 27-29, along the San Francisco waterfront. The project would involve demolishing the existing Pier 27 shed, and constructing an approximately 84,500 gross-square-foot, two-story, Cruise Ship Terminal building in its place, an approximately 130,000-square-foot (3-acre) Ground Transportation Area (GTA) within the “valley” between Piers 27 and 29 to serve the vehicular needs of the cruise terminal, and an approximately 95,00-square-foot (2.18-acre) public park known as the Northeast Wharf Plaza, along the southeast corner of the site. The public hearing will focus on responses to the DRB’s and WDAC’s previous comments and recommendations on the project and public access.

Bagley-Keene Open Meeting Act. As a state agency, the Commission is governed by the Bagley-Keene Open Meeting Act which requires the Commission to (1) publish an agenda at least ten days in advance of any meeting; (2) describe specifically in that agenda the items to be transacted or discussed; and (3) refuse to add an item subsequent to the published agenda. In addition to these general requirements the Bagley-Keene Act includes other specific provisions about how meetings are to be announced and conducted.
