- Ferry Plaza Parking – Ferry Building Back Plaza, City and County of San Francisco (First Review) [153KB ]
BCDC's Design Review Board and the Port of San Francisco's Waterfront Design Advisory Committee will hold a public hearing on a proposal to provide interim parking (up to four years) on the back plaza of the Ferry Building in the City and County of San Francisco. The project would involve installing bollards and lighting within 30,000 square feet of the Ferry Plaza to allow for parking of up to 62 cars. Parking is not proposed during the Saturday farmers market. The project would also include constructing an approximately 8,360-square-foot elevated wooden deck with seating, communal tables and a statue at the southern edge of the Ferry Plaza.

- Hercules Intermodal Transit Center – San Pablo Bay Shoreline, City of Hercules, Contra Costa County (First Review)

BCDC's Design Review Board will hold a public hearing on a proposal to construct Phase I of a multi-phased project to develop the Hercules shoreline with transit-oriented development. Phase I of the project would involve: (1) constructing an approximately 11,075-square-foot transit station building and improving existing rail line facilities along the shoreline to accommodate train, bus and future ferry service; (2) realigning, widening and restoring Refugio Creek and constructing new bridges over the restored creek; (3) completing an approximately 5,300-foot-long segment of the Bay Trail connecting the existing trail from Pinole to the south with Victoria-by-the-Bay to the north; and (4) constructing new public access areas, including Creekside Park and Creekside Trail along restored Refugio Creek.

If you would like to comment on an item scheduled for a public hearing or speak during the public comment period, please fill out a “Request to Speak” form and give it to a staff member. Each speaker is limited to a maximum of three minutes during the public comment period, and the Chair may set time limits for each speaker at the beginning of a public hearing. You are encouraged to submit written comments of any length and detailed information to the staff. This material will be distributed to the Commission members. Applicants are responsible for presenting their projects at the public hearing.

BagleyKeene Open Meeting Act. As a state agency, the Commission is governed by the BagleyKeene Open Meeting Act which requires the Commission to (1) publish an agenda at least ten days in advance of any meeting; (2) describe specifically in that agenda the items to be transacted or discussed; and (3) refuse to add an item subsequent to the published agenda. In addition to these general requirements the BagleyKeene Act includes other specific provisions about how meetings are to be announced and conducted.
