January 15, 2015 Commission Meeting Summary
Commissioners, Alternates, and Staff:
20 members attended the January 15, 2015 BCDC meeting, which was held at the Ferry Building in San Francisco.
On a vote of 19-0-0, the Commission approved a contract with the Aquatic Science Center for Technical Services for up to $20,000 to provide support for a technical workshop for the Policies of a Rising Bay project. For details contact Sarah Richmond (415/352-3660; firstname.lastname@example.org).
On a vote of 17-0-0, the Commission approved BCDC Permit Application No. 2014.005 for the East Bay Regional Park District to construct Phase 1 of the Albany Beach Public Access and Habitat Restoration Project in Albany in Alameda County. The Commission held a briefing on Bay Plan policies applicable to proposed sand mining activities, with assistance from the State Lands Commission. For details contact Brenda Goeden (415/352-3623; firstname.lastname@example.org).

The next regularly scheduled Commission meeting will occur on February 4, 2015, and will be held in the Port Hearing Room in the Ferry Building in San Francisco. The preliminary agenda includes, but may not be limited to:
- A public hearing and a vote on a request for consistency concurrence by the U.S. Army to reconstruct a pier at the Military Ocean Terminal Concord, in Contra Costa County;
- A public hearing and possible vote on a proposal regarding parking on Piers 27-29 along the San Francisco waterfront; and,
- A briefing on BCDC history by Clem Shute.
