October 6, 2011 Commission Meeting Summary

Twenty-five members attended the meeting, which was held at the Ferry Building in San Francisco.

The Commission unanimously adopted a resolution of appreciation for Joan Lundstrom, who has resigned from the Larkspur City Council and from her position as ABAG’s representative of North Bay cities on the Commission. For details, contact Will Travis (415/352-3653 travis@bcc.ca.gov).

Deputy Attorney General Alice Bushing Reynolds, who has been assigned to BCDC since 2002, has been appointed Deputy Secretary for Law Enforcement and Counsel at the California Environmental Protection Agency by Governor Jerry Brown. Daniel Balich is a new legal intern on BCDC’s staff. He received an undergraduate degree in philosophy of law and morality from Tulane University and is a graduate of Golden Gate University School of Law where he served as an editor for the Environmental Law Journal. He has worked in the San Francisco District Attorney’s Gang Unit and for multiple civil litigation firms specializing in toxic tort and construction defect defense.
