September 2 , 2010 Commission Meeting Summary

Twenty members attended the meeting, which was held at the Ferry Building in San Francisco.

The Commission held a public hearing and voted (16-0-1) to approve a federal consistency determination from the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service to restore 1,575 acres of tidal wetlands on the Cullinan Ranch along the shoreline of San Pablo Bay in Napa and Sonoma Counties. The Commission received a briefing from Ellie Cohen, the Executive Director of PRBO Conservation Science, on the impacts of climate change on the Bay Area’s ecosystem [ adobe 2.86MB]. For details, contact Will Travis (415/352-3653 travis@bcdc.ca.gov).

The Commission received a briefing on the progress being made in implementing BCDC’s strategic plan and revised two of the objectives in the plan. For details, contact Will Travis (415/352-3653 travis@bcdc.ca.gov).
